The Task At Hand: This is a true build-and-own Controller role at the center of a fast-moving, multi-brand beverage business! JuneShine Brands is a portfolio of fast-growing beverage brands — JuneShine, Willie's Remedy , and Flying Embers — scaling rapidly across multiple channels and markets. We're looking for a Controller who can own our financial operations, tighten our processes, and build the infrastructure we need to support that growth.You're coming into a company that's moving fast. We've got three brands, manufacturing operations, multi-state distribution, and ambitious growth plans. We need someone who can bring order to the chaos, own the GL, drive the forecast, and work cross-functionally with sales, ops, and leadership to make smart, data-driven decisions.Who You Are:Detail-driven, hands-on finance leader who thrives in high-growth, complex environmentsDeep expertise in manufacturing and inventory accountingComfortable owning the general ledger, forecasting, and month-end closeStrategic thinker who builds scalable processes while staying in the weedsTrusted business partner who turns financial data into insight and leads high-performing accounting teams What You'll Do: Financial Operations & Close: Own the general ledger, AP/AR, cash management, accruals and the full month-end and year-end close across entitiesPrepare accurate financial statement and reporting for leadership, investors and the board; ensure GAAP compliance and lead the annual auditManufacturing & Inventory Accounting:Lead manufacturing and inventory accounting, including COGS, inventory valuation, production cost tracking and variance analysisPartner with operations on inventory management, cost control, and manufacturing efficiencyForecasting & Business Partnership:Partner with Sales and Leadership on forecasting, financial planning, and data-driven decision-makingProvide ah-hoc financial analysis to support growth initiatives, performance management and fundraisingTeam Leadership & Systems:Lead, develop, and scale the accounting team across brands and marketsImprove accounting systems, processes, internal controls, and automation; support ERP upgrades as neededMust Haves:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA certification required7 years of accounting or finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership roleBeverage, CPG, or manufacturing accounting experience requiredStrong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting expertiseProven ownership of month-end close, general ledger, and financial statementsExperience with FP&A, forecasting, and financial modelingPeople management experience with a track record of developing accounting teamsAbility to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and LeadershipStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate numbers into business insightsComfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environmentsERP experience (NetSuite, QBO, or similar)San Diego based preferred; open to exceptional remote candidatesNice to Have: Experience with multi-entity or multi-brand accounting environmentsPrior exposure to fundraising, investor reporting, or board-level supportNetSuite or ERP implementation / optimization experienceMulti-state tax and compliance knowledgeExperience scaling accounting operations in a high-growth companyCompensation, Perks Benefits: Compensation: $160,000.00-$165,000.00, per yearThe final offer will be based on several factors, including experience, skills, and overall expertisePerks Benefits:Unlimited Paid Time OffHealthcare coverage: up to 90% company contribution for employees and 25% for dependentsVoluntary vision, dental, and accidental plans401(k) with up to 4% company match12 weeks of paid Equal Parental Leave, $500 Baby Bonding Bucks, and a sustainable baby giftBooch, spirit, beer, and soft good perksAnd more!Who We AreOur Purpose: To make quality, purpose-driven beverages Our Business: Our vision is to create the next-generation beverage platform, comprising distinct brands, each with its own ethos and purpose.
