Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, personalized service to enhance their café experience
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash handling duties, including cash register operations, change giving, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently followed during food handling and preparation
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
- Uphold food industry regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation preferred
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using retail math skills and basic math proficiency
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and proper sanitation procedures
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Familiarity with food industry standards, serving protocols, and food preparation basics is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly through tasks, and work well within a team
