Temporary Hourly Summer Position
Position Summary: Works primarily with students who are in special education. Presents material and activities to improve skills in assigned areas, which may include reading, writing, math, computers and/or vocational education. Works individually or in small groups. Records grades and other measures of students' progress and behavior.

Compensation: This is a temporary hourly position, working less than 25 hours per week from July 1 - July 31, 2026. The starting salary is $26.37 per hour. Summer hourly work is entered into soley for the purposes of operating in an hourly position with JSD outside of the instructional school calendar. Summer employees who work more than 15 hours a week between the dates of May 26 -August 14, 2026 will provide services for a term of no more than 30 days within a classificaiton.
Selected hire will be fingerprinted at applicant's expense and fingerprints forwarded to the Alaska State Troopers and the FBI for a records check.
