The part-time Microeconomy Augmenter supports the middle school program by guiding students in the planning, management, and operation of the school's microeconomy—a hands-on learning environment that connects academic skills to real-world experiences. This position helps students understand concepts of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, sustainability, and community responsibility through authentic work.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and oversee student-led projects such as school-based businesses, product creation, or community service initiatives.
• Model and support the development of skills related to budgeting, record-keeping, pricing, marketing, and teamwork.
• Facilitate student reflection on the economic, ethical, and social aspects of their work.
• Ensure safety and accountability in all student activities and maintain program materials.
• Support alignment with Montessori and school-wide goals.
• Maintain safe food handling environment
• Experience in food production
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience working with adolescents in an educational or youth program setting.
• Background or interest in entrepreneurship, business education, sustainability, or hands-on learning.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for experiential and student-centered education.
