Duties

• Prepare and process a variety of meats and seafood using meat processing machines and skilled knife techniques, including trimming, slicing, and meat cutting to ensure quality and presentation standards.
• Operate food preparation equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.
• Cook food items such as fried dishes with precision, following established recipes and culinary techniques to deliver consistent quality.
• Manage retail store responsibilities by assisting customers at the checkout counter with friendly service, processing transactions accurately as a cashier.
• Handle packaging of perishable goods with care, ensuring proper labeling and storage for freshness and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area through housekeeping duties, including sanitation of surfaces and equipment in compliance with food safety management standards.
• Conduct visual inspections for quality control on all products, ensuring only the best items reach our customers while managing food handling procedures responsibly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food production or preparation within the food industry; retail store experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of meat processing machine operation, knife skills, meat cutting techniques, slicing methods, and fish handling is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Ability to perform basic math for weighing ingredients, calculating portions, and managing inventory accurately.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude to assist shoppers effectively at the register or in product inquiries.
• Experience in kitchen environments or culinary roles that involve food handling, food safety protocols, and perishable goods management.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects safely, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
