Tow Truck Operator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be interacting with clients in various situations, often during stressful times. A commitment to safety and efficiency is essential.

Duties

• Operate tow trucks to safely transport vehicles to designated locations.
• Perform automotive diagnostics and minor repairs as needed during towing operations.
• Load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks, ensuring proper securing techniques are used.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Manage conflicts effectively, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during service calls.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and vehicle conditions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
• Conduct routine inspections of towing equipment and perform basic maintenance as necessary.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Previous experience operating tow trucks or forklifts is an advantage.
• Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
