School Psychologist - Psychoeducational Evaluator
Hiring Multiple Candidates - School Psychologists
Junction of Function is looking to partner with a licensed LPA with appropriate Senate Bill 171 Documentation. We are seeking a qualified and experienced School Psychologist to join our team on an as-needed basis to conduct educational and psychological evaluations for students in the school setting. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in determining students' eligibility for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by assessing their educational and psychological needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments: Administer a variety of standardized tests and assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic achievement, social-emotional functioning, and behavioral concerns.
2. Interpret assessment results: Analyze assessment data to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and areas of need in order to make appropriate recommendations for interventions and support services.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team: Work closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and other school personnel to gather relevant information, discuss assessment findings, and develop individualized intervention plans for students.
4. Write detailed evaluation reports: Prepare clear and concise written reports summarizing assessment results, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations for educational programming and support services.
5. Participate in eligibility determination meetings: Present assessment findings and recommendations to IEP teams and participate in collaborative decision-making regarding students' eligibility for special education services.
6. Ensure compliance with regulations: Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing special education evaluation and eligibility determination processes.
7. Maintain confidentiality: Handle sensitive student information with discretion and maintain confidentiality in accordance with professional ethics and legal requirements.
8. Meet deadlines: Complete assessments and reports in a timely manner to support timely decision-making and implementation of interventions for students.
9. No BIPs, RTI/MTSS involvement. ONLY evaluations, write-ups, IEP attendance.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) preferred.
- Previous experience conducting educational and psychological evaluations in a school or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and assessment practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining professional integrity.
This position is offered on an as-needed basis, with scheduling flexibility based on the availability of assessment referrals. The Psychologist will be compensated for services rendered according to an agreed-upon fee schedule or hourly rate.
