Opportunity:
Junction Integrated Logistics is looking for a highly organized individual with transportation industry or administrative/bookkeeping experience to provide world-class support to our National Brokerage. As an administrative assistant, you will be supporting our brokerage operations, customers, and internal stakeholders on business critical tasks that keep our company running. You will provide administrative assistance while exercising initiative and judgment on a regular basis, while learning the drayage industry from one of the fastest growing leading drayage providers. Work independently under the general direction of the Director and Manager, providing AP/AR, invoice reconciliation, administrative and clerical support including records management, billing, and transportation management system work.

This enables JCT to provide high quality execution, real time visibility and ultimate flexibility to customers nationally.
You will:
- Manage data entry and reporting, providing accurate and timely information to customers, ensure our TMS is up to date and all documentation is captured
- Manage financials by creating invoices and ensuring they are accurate, and shared with clients in a timely manner while reconciling bills from our vendors
- Maintain and update financial records in accounting software and utilize factoring/payment portals
- Assist with daily operational tasks, including client emails, container track and trace, and working with the rail, chassis, and steamship line contacts to ensure we are saying
- Serve as centralized point of contact for our LA HQ, working with teams like IT, HR, AP/AR
- Strive to for continuous Improvement, contributing ideas for improving customer service processes and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and customer experience
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in relevant roles across the transportation and/or logistics industry OR
- 3 years experience in APAR, administrative assistance, or clerking roles
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to successfully work cross functional across departments to get results for you customers
- Strong computer literacy including MS Office applications, specifically strong excel
- Computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new software systems
The role is four days in office at our River North, Chicago location. Health insurance eligible after 90 day trial period, and 401k eligible with employer matching after 1 year.
Salary : $40,000 - $45,000
