The Role
We are currently seeking a Contract (1099) Human Resources Business Partner to join our Advisory & Consulting practice. This position requires being on-site for clients in the Greater Baltimore, MD Region during normal business hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive HR support services to a diverse range of clients across our Advisory & Consulting practice
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with client goals and best practices
- Assist clients in strategic workforce planning and talent management
- Conduct training and workshops on various HR topics
- Manage employee relations issues and provide guidance to clients
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Keep up-to-date with emerging HR trends and best practices, informed by insights from our Research & Analyst Services practice
- Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to deliver exceptional client service
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR or a similar role
- Experience in hospitality, retail, or similar industries with a focus on HR management for frontline workers
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Experience working across organizations ranging from growth-stage companies to mid-market enterprises
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills when working with entry-level and senior-level professionals
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and remotely
- Available for recurring on-site client visits in Baltimore, MD during normal business hours
- HR certification (e.g. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred
Compensation: $45 to $55 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
