Business Operations Manager(Operations Excellence)

Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 10 days PTO, Club Membership
Help Build the Operating System Behind Jumbo’s
Jumbo’s Pickleball is building something much bigger than a great place to play.
We’re building a company designed to scale.
Today we operate two clubs. Tomorrow, we expect to operate many more. To get there, we need exceptional people who enjoy building systems, solving problems, and making organizations better.
We’re looking for a Business Operations Manager who thrives on creating order from complexity.
If you naturally organize chaos, improve processes, ask “Why do we do it this way?”, and enjoy helping teams perform at a higher level, this may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
We’re not looking for someone to keep the trains running. We’re looking for someone to help us build a railroad that can support the next decade of growth.
The Mission
Your mission is simple:
Help Jumbo’s operate like a $20 million company today—not someday.
You’ll partner with every department to build systems that are simple, repeatable, measurable, and scalable.
Success means the business becomes easier to operate, leaders become more effective, and the company is prepared for future growth.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you’ll help us:
- Build operational systems that are simple, scalable, and easy to follow.
- Standardize processes across every department.
- Improve consistency, accountability, and execution.
- Reduce unnecessary complexity.
- Strengthen our HR, payroll, compliance, and administrative infrastructure.

Your role isn’t to do their jobs.

- You enjoy building systems that other people rely on.
- You love creating clarity from complexity.
- You ask questions before accepting the status quo.
- You notice inefficiencies that others overlook.
- You enjoy documentation, checklists, and process improvement.
- You believe great businesses are built on great systems.
- You enjoy helping other people become more successful.
Career Growth
This is more than a job.
As Jumbo’s grows, this role is expected to grow into a Director of Business Operations position (and eventually a COO) with significantly greater responsibility, leadership, and compensation.
We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us over the long term.

A Few Things You Should Know Before Applying
This role is for builders.
You’ll thrive here if you’re energized by solving problems, improving systems, and creating clarity.
You won’t enjoy this role if you prefer simply maintaining existing processes or waiting for someone else to tell you what to do.
We’re looking for someone who wants to leave the business better than they found it.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you.
