Team Member and Baker - Must Have Pastry/Kitchen/Food Service Experience

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic baker and customer service team member to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, desserts, coffee, serving gelato, making delicious sandwiches and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service. You will work in a fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and a passion for food are essential. If you enjoy working with food and providing great customer experiences, this position is perfect for you. Must be willing to wear multiple hats and be able to open and close the shop.

Duties

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company recipes, baking and gelato serving
• Ability to open and close the cafe
• Barista skills is a big plus, must be willing to learn at a minimum
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Must have or have ability to obtain food handler license
• Operate the POS system to process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering any questions regarding menu items.
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area for guests.
• Handle cash register transactions with basic math skills to ensure accurate payments.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Follow all food handling and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is required.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
• Familiarity with POS systems or cash registers is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
• Food Handler or Manager license is a big plus
