Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Process cash and credit transactions accurately, including handling cash handling and sales transaction processing
- Maintain food safety standards by following sanitation protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed to ensure a smooth flow of service
Experience
- Proven food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and handle guest relations professionally
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service enhances your ability to upsell effectively
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and basic math for accurate check processing
- Previous fine dining or upscale restaurant experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
