Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and specialized diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery to ensure they operate at peak efficiency.
- Fabricate parts or modify existing components as needed to meet specific operational requirements.
- Replace or repair brake systems, alignments, tires, and perform wheel balancing to maintain safety standards.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, disassemble, repair, or replace mechanical parts with precision.
- Perform welding and soldering tasks for equipment repair or fabrication projects.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment to minimize downtime and extend service life.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, HVAC systems, and suspension components.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, tire service, heavy lifting, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklift trucks, tractors-trailers, and other industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of OEM parts specifications and ability to perform vehicle maintenance aligned with manufacturer standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely; willingness to work in various environmental conditions. Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
