About the Role
We are a locally owned dry cleaning and laundromat business looking for a reliable, hardworking Evening Laundromat Attendant to keep our operation running smoothly during the evening hours. This is a hands-on, multi-tasking role. You'll be working the front counter, assisting laundromat customers, processing wash & fold orders, and keeping the entire store clean and welcoming from open to close.
This position wears a lot of hats. If you're someone who stays busy, takes pride in a clean and organized space, and genuinely enjoys helping people… this role is a great fit.
What You'll Be Doing
Counter & Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers at the front counter with a friendly, professional attitude
- Accept incoming dry cleaning garments. Inspect for damage, note special instructions, and properly tag each item for processing
- Process customer pickups. Locate completed orders, review tickets, and handle payment
- Answer phones and respond to customer questions about services, pricing, and turnaround times
- Balance the register and close out transactions at end of shift
- Address last-minute customer needs courteously and efficiently before closing
Wash & Fold Processing:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and bag wash & fold laundry orders according to customer preferences and store standards
- Ensure all wash & fold items are properly labeled, neatly folded, and bagged before being set aside for pickup
- Handle customer garments carefully. Treat every order like it belongs to someone who cares about it because they do
Laundromat Floor:
- Assist self-service laundromat customers with machine operation, change, and general questions
- Monitor machines throughout the shift. Ensure they are functioning properly and report any issues to management
- Keep the laundromat floor tidy and safe: wipe down machines, clear lint traps, remove abandoned laundry per policy, and mop up spills promptly
Store Cleaning & Closing:
- Maintain a clean, organized front counter and customer waiting area throughout the shift
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize the laundromat floor regularly. Especially during peak evening hours
- Wipe down folding tables, machines, and surfaces on a consistent basis
- Perform all closing duties: secure merchandise, balance the register, complete end-of-day checklist, and lock up
- Report any maintenance, equipment, or security concerns to management before leaving
Schedule
- Evening shifts: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Available 7 days a week. Weekdays and weekends
- Consistent hours every shift. No early mornings, no late nights past 9:00 PM
- Ideal for candidates who want a stable evening schedule with weekend availability
- We’ll discuss specific days in the interview
The Kind of Person We're Looking For
This role moves fast and covers a lot of ground. The right person isn't looking to stand around — they stay busy, keep things clean, and take care of customers without being asked twice.
- Hardworking and self-motivated: When it's slow, you find something to clean or organize. You don't wait to be told what needs doing.
- Reliable and consistent: Customers and coworkers count on you to show up on time, every shift. Weekdays and weekends alike.
- Warm and approachable: You enjoy interacting with people and can make customers feel welcome whether they're dropping off a suit or doing their laundry.
- Detail-oriented: Tagging items correctly, folding neatly, matching orders accurately. The small stuff matters here, and you know it.
- Thorough about cleanliness: You hold yourself to a high standard when it comes to keeping the space clean. A dirty laundromat reflects on everyone.
- Calm under pressure: Evening rushes are real. You handle a busy floor with patience and stay organized when multiple things need attention at once.
- Trustworthy: You'll be closing the store and handling cash. Integrity is non-negotiable.

- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks at once
- Previous retail, customer service, laundry, or dry cleaning experience is a plus but not required
What We Offer

- Consistent evening schedule. Same hours every shift
- Weekend availability without overnight hours
