Job Summary
Julia Lee Performing Arts Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, an enthusiasm for teaching middle school students, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and academically rigorous learning environment.
Candidates must hold the appropriate California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications:
• You must live in California
• Valid California Single Subject Credential in Science
• EL Authorization (CLAD or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Commitment to culturally responsive teaching and fostering equity and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience teaching grades school Science (grades 5–8)
• Bilingual or multilingual candidates encouraged to apply

• Maintain regular, punctual attendance
NOTE: AT WILL EMPLOYMENT JLPAA will ensure that all legal qualification requirements will be met for teachers, staff, paraprofessionals and other administrative employees of the school. Each certificated employee at JLPAA will meet the state licensing requirements for the position that he/she holds.
