This is a temporary, in-person role based in our light-filled South End office, located in the heart of Boston's vibrant SoWA Art Design District—home to some of the city's most exciting galleries, studios, and creative businesses. The candidate must be available on-site Tuesday through Thursday.
Internship Overview
We are seeking an Art Handler Intern to support our team with the safe handling, installation, packing, and transportation of artwork. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in art logistics.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with the packing and unpacking of artworks using proper materials and techniques
· Support transportation logistics, including loading, unloading, and driving the Jules Place vehicle
· Prepare and present artworks during client meetings, ensuring pieces are displayed and handled with care
· Assist with gallery maintenance and organization of storage areas
Qualifications
· Current undergraduate student, interest in fine art is a plus
· Ability to lift and move heavy artwork and objects
· Valid driver’s license required
· Comfortable interacting with clients in a professional setting
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Prior experience in galleries, museums, or customer-facing roles is a plus
Schedule & Compensation
This is a temporary, 8–12-week role with a start date of May 11th, 2026. The candidate must be available on-site in our Boston office Tuesday through Thursday from 10am-5pm. This role has an hourly rate of $20 and lunch is provided.
