The Account Manager is responsible for generating revenue by developing market

potential, qualifying prospects and customers, arranging product and training

presentations, selling Julabo products and providing the best customer support in the

industry. This position is full-time exempt and reports directly to the Sales Manager.


Business Development & Account Management

  • Identifies market potential by qualifying prospects and customers, including cold calling, expositions, networking, and customer site visits.
  • Initiates sales processes by scheduling appointments, making initial product presentations; understanding the customers’ thermodynamic applications, securing accounts via selling high quality products and best customer support and service in this industry.
  • Closes sales by building rapport with potential account; explaining product capabilities and advantages, overcoming objections; approving purchase orders.
  • Expands sales in existing accounts by introducing new products, investigating new applications.
  • Conducts market/application research for specific industries online to further develop prospects.
  • Prepares and email price quotes including lead times for products as requested by customer.
  • Supports the sales effort from identification of prospect to receipt of products ordered.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, making recommendations to management to overcome obstacles.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending regular training.
  • Approves customer purchase orders received and forwards to Customer Support to process sales orders.
  • Responsible for new account setup by working with Accounting.
  • Maintains correspondence with customer contacts via email, telephone and maintains customer records as well as the CRM system.
  • Exhibits at trade shows nationwide and turns in received leads to marketing as quick as possible.
  • Qualifies and follows up on each trade show lead.
  • Maintains CRM customer field entries, customer hard copy files, OEM VIP sheets, and other templates provided.
  • Prepares and turns in weekly reports, trip summary and expense reports.
  • Is expected to increase business sales segments by aggressive, hardworking, committed and ambitious to grow territory.
  • Enters leads from referrals into CRM.
  • Answers incoming sales calls forwarded from Sales Operator Group.
  • Communicate daily with Customer Support regarding lead times on open orders.

  • Understanding Quality Standards: Understand and follow established quality procedures and guidelines as they apply to your role and how they fit into wider company objectives.
  • Adherence to Quality Standards: Effectively communicate quality issues and concerns through your manager, directly to QM Manager, or Quality Circle (Corrective Actions and Risks) to address and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations for changes to improve the quality of products, services, and internal processes.


Physical Demands-Individual must be physically capable of the following physical activity daily:

  • Prolonged sitting at a desk and computer usage
  • Lifting of 50 lbs. at times
