Barista

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and dependable Team Member to join our crew inside LA Fitness – 2560 Grant Avenue, Philadelphia at Juice Plus (Smoothie shop).

As a team member, you’ll help create delicious smoothies and provide excellent service to our fitness-minded customers. Whether you're prepping ingredients, blending drinks, or working the register, you’ll play an important role in delivering a fresh and fun experience every day.

Duties

• Prepare and serve high-quality smoothies and protein shakes, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes.
• Handle food preparation tasks, including baking pastries and preparing light snacks.
• Operate cash registers efficiently, processing customer transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety standards.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.
• Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
