Job Description – STORE Manager

Job Description:

The Manager should approach the role as though the Juice It Up! Store belongs to them, as in having an ownership mentality, and lead the store Team by demonstrating through his/her personal behavior the highest level of professionalism in the retail market.

As the Team Leader at the store, the Manager will be responsible for the overall financial success of the store including all activities from initiating local store marketing activities and placing material orders.

The Manager must memorize a wide array of smoothie and juice recipes, making fresh-squeezed juices, preparing, pretzels, bagels and healthy snacks. The Store Manager will be able to operate all equipment, and strive to possess mechanical knowledge of such equipment.

The Manager will supervise all store employees and must be a strong, confident Team Leader. He/she must be capable and competent at employee training, and provide employee performance evaluations in conjunction with his/her supervisor. He/she will report to the Owner and work with the corporate office when called upon. The Manager must possess a moderate level of computer knowledge (MS
Word/Office, Excel, and POS). Safe Food handling practices will be provided to the Manager and he/she will be required to obtain a food handlers card or be SERV SAFE Certified.

Specific responsibilities will include:

1. Become fully trained and remain current in Juice It Up! official Customer Service training program, and Operations training programs

2. Conduct new employee training to include Serve Safe, JIU Training, Customer Service training programs;

3. Comply with all state and federal employment laws

4. Work closely with the owner to manage Juice It Up! external local store marketing initiatives

5. Inventory and ordering

6. Create and maintain store labor schedule for all store employees weekly & communicate same;

7. Work with owner to Control and Manage Cost of Goods and Labor

8. All other duties as assigned;

Required Skills:

• Possess excellent customer service skills;
• 1 year in supervisory role
• Verbal and written communications skills;
• Ability to create and monitor measurable objectives;
• Knowledge of food industry quality and food safety standards and measures;
• Complete computer proficiency
• Problem solving skills;
• Team building skills needed in this support role;
• The ability to develop management reports and achieve timely distribution;
• Catering experience a plus
• Proficient in English – (bilingual in Spanish an added bonus)
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to maintain confidential information in the strictest of confidence
• Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend repeatedly
• Ability to multi-task and maintain a fast pace

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Yes, we are taking cover precautions at all locations. This position will train as a store manager at our Fontana location and then spend time between local stores with assistant managers reporting into them.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Restaurant Experience: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
