Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Columbia, TN. The Field Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Jobsite Superintendent with overseeing all field operations and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Assist with overseeing daily on-site operations, coordination with subcontractors, and managing resoruces, tools and construction equipment
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating material deliveries
- Monitor safety protocals (PPE, Site Safety) and ensure a safe working environment
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions for unforseen issues.
- Maintaining daily time sheets and daily progress reports
- Review of jobsite plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and perform inspections to ensure work complies with specifications and safety standars
The role involves hands-on work in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and providing technical support for on-site challenges
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to liaise with jobsite superintendent and team members effectively
- Experience in field service management and on-site operations
- Knowledge and experience in project management to assist the jobsite superintendent with tasks and timelines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs (excel, word, outlook, teams), knowledge of Adobe, and additional knowledge of Primavera P6 preferred
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on, construction environment
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and problem-solving
