What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Wealth Advisor position at Judson Group?
Judson Group is proud to partner with a premier Bay Area-based RIA serving ultra-high-net-worth technology professionals, founders, executives, and multi-generational families. The firm specializes in the complexities of tech wealth — equity compensation, concentrated stock positions, liquidity events, tax strategy, and legacy planning — supported by a sophisticated infrastructure designed to serve clients at scale.
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Lead Wealth Advisor to join a growing advisory team and help expand the firm’s presence among high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. This is a high-impact role with meaningful long-term upside, including the opportunity to influence the future growth of the firm and potentially pursue an equity partnership path.
You will work alongside a deeply experienced team, serve a sophisticated client base, and leverage an established marketing engine and operational platform that many advisors spend years trying to build independently.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
- Work with a highly sophisticated and intellectually engaging client base in the heart of the tech ecosystem.
- Leverage a mature marketing platform and referral network designed to help advisors grow.
- Spend more time advising clients and less time managing administrative complexity.
- Be part of a firm that values long-term relationships, thoughtful growth, and professional excellence.
- Enjoy meaningful career advancement opportunities, including potential equity partnership for the right individual.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Serve as the lead relationship manager and trusted advisor for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
- Build and deepen client relationships while helping drive new business development and client acquisition.
- Partner closely with planning, investments, client service, and operations teams to deliver integrated wealth management solutions.
- Guide clients through complex financial situations, including equity compensation, concentrated stock positions, liquidity events, retirement planning, tax strategy, and estate planning.
- Lead client meetings and maintain a proactive, white-glove service experience through consistent communication and follow-through.
- Develop sophisticated financial plans and customized recommendations based on detailed client analysis and evolving objectives.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to design, implement, and monitor investment strategies aligned with client goals.
- Coordinate with external advisors — including attorneys, CPAs, and family office professionals — to support comprehensive wealth planning.
- Participate in firm-wide investment discussions, planning initiatives, and client review processes.
- Oversee execution of client action items and ensure all planning recommendations are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Help shape the continued growth and evolution of the firm as a strategic contributor and thought partner.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 5 years of wealth advisory experience serving high-net-worth clients.
- Series 65 (or equivalent) required; CFP®, CFA®, or CPWA® designation preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing and growing client relationships, including a track record of generating at least $500,000 in annual advisory or flat-fee revenue.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a strong belief in leveraging operational and client service infrastructure to enhance advisor effectiveness.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Confidence working with financially sophisticated clients who expect thoughtful guidance, technical expertise, and direct communication.
- Strong understanding of complex planning topics, including investment management, retirement planning, tax strategy, and estate considerations.
- Experience with equity compensation planning — including RSUs, ESPPs, and stock options — is highly valued given the firm’s client base.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary bonus.
- Comprehensive benefits package.
Location: San Francisco, California
Salary : $500,000
