Primary Duties and Responsibilities include
- This position facilitates consumer integration within their communities.
- Coordinates support and ancillary services for children.
- Develops and monitors individual service and support plans outlining support services to be provided, providing referrals for ancillary services, and care coordination to assist children and their families.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and actively support culturally competent recovery-based practices and that are person centered.
Job Qualifications
- Experience working with mental health populations, particularly with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses
- Willingness to work with children and families in the community or their homes.
- Clinical awareness and sensitivity, including a belief that individuals with developmental disabilities can be meaningful participants in our community.
- General skills and knowledge of local human service resources
- Ability to facilitate small groups and work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated competency in computer skills using electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to comply with all applicable licensing rules, accreditation standards, code of ethics, insurance reimbursement rules, and Judson Center’s policies and procedures.
Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Bachelor’s degree in a mental health related field from an accredited school.
- Valid Michigan Driver’s license with a good driving record.
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and one year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
