Benefits to you
  • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage.
  • The hourly equivalent for this position is $25.55 - $39.64. [OR the annual salary for this position is $53,136 - $82,440.]
  • 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation paid leaves (prorated for part-time employees), and other employee benefits such as optional insurances and flexible spending plans.
  • OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job!

in Pendleton, Oregon is hiring a Management Assistant 2
In this role…
You will be responsible for applying and interpret aspects of financial, statistical, and accounting data. Handling confidential and sensitive information.
Assist self-represented litigants and attorneys filing exhibits for both remote and in-person appearances. You will assist the team members with document review for accuracy and make corrections for the parties to review and confirm. You will log, store, and track physical exhibits for upcoming hearings/trials, and track for notice and appropriate disposition. Perform data entry for all case types in the Odyssey case management system.
You will assist with the recruitment process – maintain preliminary position descriptions, initiate the recruitment process, and review management calendars to provide interview dates. You will also assist with onboarding new employees – consisting with new employee paperwork, registering new employees for orientation, set up check-ins and evaluations.
Other duties consist of maintaining the office supplies for court staff and judges. Coordinate local meetings. Preliminary review of staff timecards for payroll submission.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a High School diploma or equivalent
AND
Five (5) years of secretarial or administrative experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this position.

education and experience
equivalent to five (5) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Requested Skills and Attributes

  • Experience providing direct clerical or administrative support to multiple people; experience should be recent (within the past five years).
  • Experience planning and supporting conferences, meetings, and events, including logistics, booking venues, and coordinating AV and tech setups.
  • Experience using a full array of current technology tools and office software programs to enter and retrieve data, run reports, review and analyze data, and present findings to others.
  • Experience receiving work assignments from multiple people and making decisions related to workflow, priorities, and assignments.
  • Skill in writing and reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, grammar, and punctuation.
Working Conditions
  • This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
  • Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.
  • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances or highly stressful situations.
  • Regular use of the following equipment: telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
