Position Responsibilities:
Update radio & high frequency electronics and DC/LF equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork
Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes
Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by lead technician
Perform visual check of Electronic Measurement and Test Equipment/process equipment for discrepancies and wear
Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes
Process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and Measurement and Test Equipment
Process equipment to manufacturer's performance specifications
Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results
Use calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair Measurement and Test Equipment
Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes
Work with other employees engaged in the calibration and certification of Measurement and Test Equipment
Assist in the development of new calibration processes and procedures
Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results
(Required Skills/Experience):
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years of experience with Electrical/Electronic - DC/LF or RF and Microwave Metrology process
Familiarity with Excel, MET/CAL, LabVIEW, Basic/Visual Basic, computer networking, and troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Associate's degree or above
7 years or more work experience in a calibration lab
3 years of experience in a PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) back shop for the military
Certified Calibration Technician (CCT)
Experience using and configuring data acquisition units
Experience running and configuring automated hardware tests
Experience in the aerospace industry
Education: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor 1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
