Location: Cambridge, MA Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $90.00 USD Hourly Description: Role focus - serves as a Principal Signal Processing System Engineer partnering directly with customers and program managers to develop multidisciplinary technical solutions for complex mission requirements

Advanced analysis - performs post-graduate-level system analysis, exercising sound judgment in determining which technical challenges require direct attention versus delegation

Prototype engagement - contributes to prototype development through software/firmware coding, test-equipment operation and programming, system integration, validation, field testing, and customer demonstrations

Organizational leadership - provides guidance on business development, internal R&D strategy, hiring approaches, and university partnerships

Duties / Responsibilities

• Complex_problem_solving - independently drives solutions to challenging technical issues, develops requirements, proposes paths forward when customer inputs are incomplete, and adapts to evolving needs

• Design_insight - provides analytical insights, recommends design modifications, and applies analysis techniques across multiple technical disciplines
• Risk_management - identifies system-level technical risks and develops mitigation strategies
• Best_practices - documents, teaches, and promotes best practices for less-experienced engineers
• Program_execution - demonstrates strong planning, organization, and time-management skills to meet program objectives

• Business_development - supports business development through proposal leadership and sponsor engagement

Skills / Abilities

• RF_systems - strong knowledge of RF systems and architectures
• EE_fundamentals - solid grounding in electrical-engineering principles
• RF_software_tools - proficiency with RF and communications-focused software tools
• Instrumentation_experience - hands-on experience with RF measurement instrumentation
• Problem_solving - strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Communication_skills - excellent verbal and written communication skills; thrives in collaborative environments
• Management_skills - proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail

Education

• Degree_requirements - bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred

Experience

• Experience_requirements - requires 10 years of experience in RF or communications engineering or a related discipline

Clearance

• Security_clearance - active clearance preferred; candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
