Mechanical Engineer - Product Design & Applications
A manufacturing organization is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support both product design and application engineering for industrial material-handling equipment. This role combines SolidWorks-based design work with system sizing, technical analysis, and cross-functional engineering support.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical Design using SolidWorks for components and assemblies
- Application Engineering including system sizing, equipment selection, and technical calculations
- Support development of pneumatic and vacuum-based conveying equipment
- Provide technical assistance to sales, service, and manufacturing teams
- Create drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation
- Collaborate with controls engineers on PLC-driven systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and MS Excel
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial equipment
Preferred Experience
- Pneumatic or vacuum conveying (especially dilute phase)
- Industrial equipment or rotating machinery design
- Sheet metal fabrication
