Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer
Location: Liberty, NC (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months with Possible Extension.
Travel: Occasional U.S. data center travel; possible Mexico travel
Experience: 3-5 years
Top Must-Have Skills (Priority Order)
1. APC DCE/ITA or Vertiv SiteScan Administration (Critical)
Candidate must have administrator-level experience, not just monitoring.

Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer

- Configuring APC Data Center Expert (DCE) / IT Advisor (ITA) OR Vertiv SiteScan
- Adding and onboarding new devices
- Building monitoring environments
- Alert and alarm configuration
- Threshold/setpoint programming
- License management
- Server administration and upgrades
- Monitoring UPS, PDUs, power strips, cameras, HVAC systems, etc.
2. Critical Facilities / MEP Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
- HVAC systems
- UPS systems
- ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches)
- Generators
- Critical facility alarms
- Electrical and mechanical infrastructure
3. Data Center Facilities Experience
Experience supporting:
- Data center operations
- Cabinet space/U-space management
- Power management
- Environmental monitoring
- Facility infrastructure
Preferred Background
- Electrical Engineering
- Critical Facilities Engineering
- Data Center Facilities Operations
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- MEP Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)
Additional Requirements
- Incident management and change management experience
- Asset inventory/documentation experience
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work with vendors and cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting 99.99% uptime environments
