Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily technical guidance and mentorship to a team of software engineers
- Set clear expectations for team output, engineering practices, and collaboration standards
- Lead and deliver technology initiatives and projects aligned with business objectives
- Anticipate and manage dependencies across teams to ensure timely delivery of products and applications
- Manage stakeholder relationships in alignment with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Produce and review architecture and design artifacts for complex, large-scale systems
- Ensure software development adheres to design constraints, security, resiliency, and quality standards
- Oversee development of secure, high-quality, production-ready code
- Drive adoption of automation, CI/CD, and continuous improvement practices
- Cultivate a team culture centered on diversity, inclusion, opportunity, and mutual respect
- Coach and develop engineers, serving as a technical mentor and subject-matter expert
- Bachelor's degree or formal training/certification in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 9 years of applied software engineering experience
- Proven experience leading technology projects and managing technologists
- Strong proficiency developing microservices using Java and the Spring Boot framework
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies
- Advanced proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including:
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Application resiliency
- Security best practices
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Practical experience building cloud-native applications
- Strong understanding of financial services technology environments or other highly regulated industries
- Demonstrated expertise across multiple technology disciplines
