What You'll Do
Assembly & Integration
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly (EMA) from simple to complex builds
- Assemble high-precision components with tight tolerances
- Build and integrate:
- Circuit cards (PCBA/CCA)
- RF boxes and enclosures
- Panels and assemblies
- Execute:
- Wiring, crimping, soldering, and connector work
- Mechanical fastening and torque application
- Conduct basic electrical testing:
- Power on/off checks
- Functional validation (no advanced diagnostics)
- Perform testing, checkout, troubleshooting, and fault isolation
- Assist in identifying and resolving malfunctions
- Support engineering, manufacturing, and lab environments
- Assist with assembly of new and updated designs alongside engineering teams
- Provide input on process improvements and build efficiency
- Maintain strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
- Support multiple systems and platforms across programs
- Panel installation, labeling, and safety wiring
- Fabricate, terminate, repair, and test wire harnesses
- Apply/remove polymerics:
- Staking, potting, encapsulation, conformal coating
- 3 years of experience in:
- Aerospace avionics, electronics assembly, or related field
- Hands-on experience with:
- Soldering, wiring, and electro-mechanical assembly
- Wire harness fabrication and repair
- Torque application for fasteners
- Ability to:
- Read schematics, diagrams, and work instructions
- Work in ESD-controlled (EPA) environments
- Proficiency with:
- Standard assembly tools, multimeters, and power supplies
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work a full schedule with occasional overtime
Preferred Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in:
- Aerospace, avionics, or similar high-reliability industries
- Experience with:
- RF systems, battery systems, or high-voltage assemblies
- Familiarity with:
- Inspection and certification to industry standards
- Non-conformance documentation and repair processes
- Electronic work orders and configuration systems
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools
- IPC Standards:
- J-STD-001 (Soldering)
- IPC-A-610 (Circuit Board Acceptability)
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Cable & Wire Harness)
- IPC 7711/7721 (Rework & Repair)
- Background in precision assembly environments (e.g., aerospace, medical devices, life safety equipment)
- Familiarity with modular, component-based assembly (LEGO-style systems)
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Work on cutting-edge avionics and space systems
