We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriter/Processor to support Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) operations. This role is responsible for evaluating financial data, assessing credit risk, and underwriting small business funding applications.
- Review and analyze merchant applications and financial documents
- Conduct cash flow analysis and credit risk assessments
- Underwrite MCA deals using financial modeling and forecasting
- Evaluate risk while structuring and negotiating deal terms
- Prepare financial summaries to support decision-making
- Utilize financial tools for data analysis and reporting
- Monitor portfolio performance and flag potential risk or fraud
- Partner with sales teams to support deal flow and approvals
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with compliance standards
Qualifications
- 1 year of Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) underwriting experience required
- Experience in underwriting, credit analysis, or financial services
- Strong understanding of cash flow, credit, and risk assessment
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and trends
- Experience with financial systems, modeling, and reporting tools
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Background in fraud detection, tax, or lending environments is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
