Packaging Supervisor

JDP is seeking a Packaging Supervisor in Orangeburg, NY area!

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, safety, quality assurance, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA and USDA standards.
• Develop and implement safety programs to minimize workplace injuries.
• Oversee production activities, ensuring efficient and timely completion of orders.
• Monitor and optimize production yields, minimize waste, and control costs.
• Maintain product quality and ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and addressing employee concerns.
• Develop and manage budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure profitability.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Maintain open and effective communication with all levels of employees.
• Represent the company at industry events and meetings (as needed).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, preferred
• 5-8 years of plant management experience in the food processing industry (preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Knowledge of HACCP, OSHA regulations, and food safety principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
