JDP is seeking a Packaging Supervisor in Orangeburg, NY area!
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, safety, quality assurance, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA and USDA standards.
- Develop and implement safety programs to minimize workplace injuries.
- Oversee production activities, ensuring efficient and timely completion of orders.
- Monitor and optimize production yields, minimize waste, and control costs.
- Maintain product quality and ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and addressing employee concerns.
- Develop and manage budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure profitability.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintain open and effective communication with all levels of employees.
- Represent the company at industry events and meetings (as needed).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferred
- 5-8 years of plant management experience in the food processing industry (preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of HACCP, OSHA regulations, and food safety principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
