Judge Direct Placement is seeking an EHS Manager in Montpelier, VT area!
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and support for all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) activities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs that promote compliance, safe work practices, and employee engagement.
- Drive a proactive safety culture through training, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct safety onboarding and required regulatory training.
- Partner with employees and leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain EHS records, permits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Perform inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
- Evaluate equipment and processes to improve safety, ergonomics, and operational effectiveness.
- Monitor and report EHS performance metrics and trends.
- Support compliance audits, regulatory inspections, and sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with workers’ compensation, return-to-work programs, and injury prevention efforts.
- Stay current on EHS regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate across departments to support business goals and employee well-being.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ability to lead EHS programs and influence safety performance at all levels of an organization.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems.
- Ability to travel between facilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CHMM, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
- Experience leading regulatory audits, environmental compliance programs, and safety management systems.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and behavior-based safety programs.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
