Summary
Our client is seeking a Transformer Design Engineer to lead the design and development of magnetic components for a wide range of applications. This role requires deep technical expertise in transformer design, materials science, and manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom transformers for industrial, military, and utility applications
- Perform electromagnetic and thermal analysis to optimize performance and reliability
- Select appropriate magnetic and dielectric materials based on application requirements
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and BOMs
- Support product testing, validation, and troubleshooting
- Stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies in transformer design
- Provide technical support to sales and customer service teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 5 years of experience in transformer or magnetic component design
- Strong knowledge of heat transfer, materials science, and transformer manufacturing practices
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and simulation software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience with military or high-spec transformer applications is a plus
Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
