Judge Direct Placement is seeking an Accounting Manager in Grand Island, NE area!
Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of cost accounting and general accounting activities, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, inventory accounting, product costing, and variance analysis in compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal control requirements.
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve manufacturing performance through cost analysis, inventory management, make-versus-buy evaluations, cost modeling, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and cost reduction.
- Support business planning and decision-making by leading budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, profitability analysis, business risk assessments, and capital investment evaluations, including ROI and NPV analyses.
- Serve as a key financial systems leader by optimizing ERP, reporting, and business intelligence tools, driving process automation, improving data integrity, standardizing processes, and enhancing financial reporting capabilities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Partner closely with business leaders to communicate financial results, performance drivers, and strategic recommendations that support organizational objectives.
- Support internal and external audit activities and ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial information to divisional leadership and corporate stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7-10 years experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working within ERP environment
