What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Judge Direct Placement?
Accountant – Growth‑Minded, Team‑Driven
Oregon - full relocation package provided per candidate situation
Our client is seeking a high‑initiative, growth‑oriented Accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to make a meaningful impact as we continue to scale. This is not a heads‑down, transactional accounting role — we’re looking for someone who brings curiosity, ownership, and a genuine desire to help build better processes, support teammates, and strengthen a growing organization.
If you’re motivated by contribution, continuous improvement, and being part of a team that wins together, you’ll fit right in.
Responsibilities:
- Support month‑end close, reconciliations, reporting, and analysis with accuracy and accountability.
- Identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and help build scalable processes as the company grows.
- Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to solve problems and support business decisions.
- Assist with consolidations, intercompany activity, and complex manufacturing cost structures.
- Step in where needed, help teammates, and take initiative without being asked
- Provide meaningful analysis that helps leaders understand trends, risks, and opportunities
Who You Are (This Matters Most)
- You don’t jump around; you build, contribute, and grow with a team.
- You take pride in helping others succeed and improving the business.
- You enjoy partnering with others, sharing knowledge, and supporting cross‑functional goals.
- You ask questions, dig into problems, and take initiative to make things better.
- You thrive in environments where processes are evolving and your ideas matter.
- You don’t just identify issues; you help fix them.
- You bring humility, accountability, and a collaborative spirit.
- If your resume only lists tasks — not impact — this role won’t be the right match. The company values people who show results, ownership, and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred (costing, inventory, production)
- Experience in multi‑site or multi‑national environments is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and month‑end close
- Ability to analyze data, communicate clearly, and support decision‑making
- Comfort working in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Strong staff‑level candidates with the right mindset will be considered.
