Lead Pre-K GSRP Teacher

The GSRP Lead Teacher is a full time position responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing a developmentally appropriate, Active Learning classroom environment for four‐year‐olds. This role requires a BA degree in Early Childhood or Child Development and at least two years experience in an Active Learning curriculum (HighScope preferred). The Lead Teacher ensures compliance with all GSRP requirements, supports family engagement, and fosters a warm, inclusive learning community.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum

• Plan and implement daily lessons using Active Learning strategies; HighScope experience strongly preferred
• Conduct daily small‐group, large‐group, and individualized learning experiences
• Maintain a well‐organized, intentional classroom environment aligned with HighScope and GSRP standards
• Complete ongoing child assessments using COR Advantage (or other approved tools)
• Use data to inform instruction and support individualized learning plans

Child Development & Classroom Management

• Build nurturing, responsive relationships with children
• Support social‐emotional development using positive guidance practices
• Ensure a safe, healthy, and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor developmental progress and communicate regularly with families

Family & Community Engagement

• Build strong, trusting relationships with families
• Conduct home visits and parent‐teacher conferences as required by GSRP
• Provide families with resources, updates, and support to strengthen school‐home connections
