We are looking for a caregiver that has reliable transportation and has a great work ethic. This particular client needs minimal assistance. The days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for three hours each morning.
Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent observational skills, and the ability to perform a range of caregiving duties that promote independence and comfort. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following care plans
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and changes in condition
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or assistive devices
- Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols
- Document care provided accurately and report any concerns or changes to supervising healthcare professionals
- Assist with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, or autism spectrum support
Skills
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
- Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize signs of distress or health deterioration
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for resident safety
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Compassionate attitude with a focus on person-centered care and respect for individual dignity
- Familiarity with care plans, patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, and social work principles is advantageous
