Job Description
Community Pawn Shop is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join our team as Retail Sales & Loan Associates. This role is ideal for candidates interested in gaining hands-on experience in both the financial services and retail industries.
As a team member, you will assist customers with short-term collateral-based loans, evaluate items of value, and support the sale of high-end merchandise in our retail showroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Evaluate customer items for pawn loans (training provided)
- Explain loan terms, conditions, and repayment options clearly
- Buy, price, and sell merchandise, including luxury items
- Maintain organized and visually appealing retail displays
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Sales or customer service experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required
