What are the responsibilities and job description for the BAKER position at Jubelt’s Bakery & Restaurant?
This is a full time job and will average 40 hours per week. The hours for this job are 4:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m., except on Sundays it will be 5:00 am-1:00 p.m. We are closed on Mondays. Frequently your second day off will be Tuesday, but not always. The baker will proof & bake danish and cinnamon rolls, ice donuts, bake and ice pastries and pies, bake biscuits, bake cookies, bars, etc.
Lifting 30-40 lbs will be necessary. There is sick pay and holiday pay after 6 months, and vacation pay after one year. This is a position of trust, as this person is the first person to come in in the morning, so police records will be checked. As the job must be completed before leaving, there will be some overtime, but not every day. The ability to work with others as a team is important.
The ideal candidate will enjoy doing multiple tasks. Commercial baking experience would be very helpful. This job will require the applicant to work independently and meet time deadlines for getting the product out. Candidate must have a good work ethic, show up on time every day, and be a team player. This is not a job for students, as the hours are during the day.
