Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Supervise and lead a team of shipping clerks.
- Verify accuracy of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Monitor shipping costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Communicate with carriers to coordinate shipment and delivery schedules.
- Resolve any issues related to shipping and receiving activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a shipping or receiving role.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- Forklift experience required.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
