POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to determine wiring layouts.

· Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and implement effective solutions.

· Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.

· Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.

· Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures.

· Install, replace, maintain, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment, including wiring, lighting and control systems in various settings.

· Install data cabling.

· Splice, join and connect wire to form circuits.

· Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety.

· Install and maintain fiber optic systems.

· Install, replace, maintain, and repair electrical generation sources and related equipment

· Ensure all electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations; adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

· Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to detect hazards, defects, or failures.

· Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades.

· Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each project.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

· Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or technical school is preferred.

· Valid electrician license as required by state regulations.

· Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical installation andmaintenance.

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety regulations.

· Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
