The Welder I position is responsible for welding metal components using hand‑welding equipment and ensuring weld quality meets specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Inspect and verify parts for accuracy
- Maintain consistent, high-quality welds
- Meet hourly and job‑based weld output goals
- Use common welding hand and power tools
- High school diploma or GED
- Welding certificate or equivalent experience
- Industrial fabrication environment
- Exposure to weld fumes, noise, and heat
- Standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and reaching required
- Full‑time, 40 hrs/week with possible overtime
