Role Description The Superintendent role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Orlando, Florida area , responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations for paint projects. This role manages project schedules, coordinates crews and subcontractors, and ensures that work is completed in accordance with specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Superintendent conducts site walks, tracks progress, resolves field issues, and communicates regularly with project managers, clients, and inspectors. Typical responsibilities include supervising finishing activities, monitoring material usage, enforcing jobsite safety, and documenting project milestones and changes. The role also involves reviewing plans, verifying measurements, and supporting punch list and closeout activities to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Experience supervising construction projects, preferably in painting, with the ability to manage multiple phases of work.
- Strong knowledge of construction plans, specifications, building codes, and jobsite safety practices (OSHA awareness or comparable training preferred).
- Effective communication and leadership skills, including the ability to give clear directions, resolve conflicts, and collaborate with clients, trades, and inspectors (ability to speak Spanish is preferred)
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities to plan work, track progress, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic proficiency with email, and mobile applications used for reporting, documentation, and photo capture.
- Ability to work on-site daily, move around active construction areas, and perform occasional light physical tasks related to inspections.
- Prior experience as a superintendent, foreperson, or lead in construction or trades; paint experience strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in construction management are a plus.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
