Primary Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Tourism Platform Department Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the development and execution of JTB Hawaii’s new business initiative, the “Tourism Platform.”
This role contributes to building a sustainable tourism business model centered on transportation services by conducting market research, executing PoC (Proof of Concept), supporting service design, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and assisting in digital platform development.

- College degree or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in business development, project coordination, digital, or marketing-related roles.
- Strong communication skills in English and Japanese (both verbal and written).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, business partners, and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and basic negotiation ability.
- Understanding of travel market dynamics, including Japanese and international customer segments.
- Knowledge of Hawaii’s tourism industry, infrastructure, and mobility environment.
- Familiarity with JTB products, services, and internal systems is preferred.
- Working knowledge of digital tools and platforms (e.g., CMS, data tools, and creative tools such as Adobe Illustrator) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Hawaii driver’s license preferred.
Working Hours
- 40 hours per week, between the hours of 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday but may work afterhours, weekends and holidays as deemed necessary.
- Heavy overtime seasonally, periodically, and as required.
- Occasional travel to various locations outside of the office, including travel to neighbor islands, continental U.S., and/or abroad, where weather conditions may vary.
- Must be able to frequently communicate with customers/ co-workers/vendors over the phone, computer, or in person in Japanese and English.
- Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery,
