- Hospital Medical Laboratory Technologist / Scientist - Generalist
About:
- Serving the region for over 43 years
- 48-bed critical access hospital, 6 clinics, LTC facility
Location:
- Population of approx 6,500, about an hour from Anchorage
- Regional commercial port town
- Serving the villages and local communities in their region
Summary:
- Work under the direction of the Hospital Laboratory Manager
- Tech is responsible for performing lab tests, quality control, communicate with physicians, nurses and patients.
Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Technologist / Scientist:
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or a related field
- Board eligible by NCA or ASCP, complete board certification within a year of hire
- Certification at MT by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by National Accrediting Agency (NCA) within one year of employment
- Clinical laboratory instrumentation
- Hospital Laboratory - Generalist Experience
- 1-3 years’ hospital laboratory Generalist experience - Haematology, Serology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Blood bank
