About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in the Department of Surgery, Otolaryngology SVC, Honolulu, Hawaii.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) performing medical screenings to include past medical history and patient vitals; 2) provide patient with instructions and information on procedures to be performed; and 3) selects and secures all instruments for new sterile procedures and 4) prepares treatment room for surgical procedures.

Education: One full academic year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Medical Technician, Nursing, or Medical Assistant.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
