Concrete Finisher Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete surfaces on sidewalks, driveways, patios, roads, curbs, floors, and other structures. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong understanding of concrete materials and tools. The Concrete Finisher will work under the direction of the foreman or supervisor to ensure concrete work is done to specification.
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- Must have effective communication skills.
- Ability to take direction from Crew Leader
- Ability to operate machinery (or willingness to learn) such as power buggy, pressure washer heavy equipment, such as skid steer and excavator.
- Set forms and ensure alignment, elevation, and grade.
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces
- Cut joints with concrete saws to help control cracking
- Ability to operate hand tools such as drills, hammers and saws in a safe manner.
- Ability to execute with a high level of attention to detail.
- Must abide by company employee guidebook and standards.
- Flexible schedule required.
Essential Duties:
- Take direction from the crew leader and other members. Daily briefing will take place at the beginning of the day, work tasks will be assigned, as well as a daily schedule to complete the job in a timely fashion. Limit jobsite downtime.
- Take direction from the crew leader in proper work methods consistent with company standards. Maintain high work quality. Ensure adherence to time schedules, job efficiency, and safe work practices. Take constructive criticism and ask questions frequently to improve at your craft.
- Execute all project duties as a crew member from start to finish, as directed by crew leader.
- Smooth and level freshly poured concrete using hand tools or power tools. Monitor the curing process of concrete and assist with any necessary finishing work.
- Take pride and responsibility in assisting in the completion of concrete projects, results, equipment, and machinery.
- Respect customers/clients’ property by routinely cleaning up work areas. Problem clients will be directed to the Crew Leader to answer questions about the project.
- Perform assigned tasks at a high level to meet company and client expectations.
- Maintain vehicles and equipment on a daily basis. (clean out, wash/vacuum, grease. . etc)

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
