Job Description:
JSW Steel USA is seeking to hire a Learning and Development Trainer. The chosen person will be responsible for developing and maintaining the learning and development, performance management and succession planning programs to apply new and evolving methods to assist the business with the ongoing employee development.
The focus of the role is to identify and bridge skill gaps among employees, ensure that organizational goals are met, help improve workplace culture, and increase employee engagement and retention rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish strong partnerships with the business to gain a strong understanding of current business issues and opportunities, as related to training, performance management and succession planning.
- Assist the Company meet its objectives by developing and implementing high-impact learning and development programs in line with business needs and priorities.
- Conduct organizational needs analysis and create training plans to ensure that all employees have the required competencies to excel in their roles.
- Review and revise course materials to ensure they align with operating processes, procedures, and systems.
- Support managers in developing their team members through career pathing and continuous development.
- Responsible for executing strategies, processes and approaches related to integrated performance management.
- Define and lead projects focused on continuous improvement and best industry practices to boost performance.
- Create and oversee the implementation of the procedures that support and enhance employee performance as per the company’s objectives
- Assist in the creation of organizational objectives and regularly review and assess ongoing performance management processes to evaluate whether they support employee performance and contribute to JSW’s business goals.
- Gather and assess business intelligence and the necessary data to assess employee performance and identify individual and departmental workplace issues and development barriers.
- Provide Human Resources Managers with insightful training practices to reach the established performance target goals.
- Explain to employees the methodology of current or upcoming performance practices thoroughly and professionally and follow up with them to ensure organization-wide understanding.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, or a related field (is preferred).
- Four or more years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a focus on learning and development, organizational development, and performance management.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and facilitating training for employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Performance Management Platforms (UKG experience is preferred).
- Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics and analytics to evaluate program effectiveness and drive improvement.
- Innovative and adaptable, with the ability to evolve strategies to meet changing business needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Strong understanding of employee engagement, staff relations, and retention strategies.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
