About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Metallurgist to join our team at JSW Steel USA. As a key member of our sustainability department, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing environmental initiatives that drive business growth while minimizing our ecological footprint.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of environmental and sustainability monitoring programs
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve regulatory compliance and reduce environmental impact
- Manage and improve product stewardship programs, including life cycle analyses and environmental product declarations
- Assist with decarbonization and energy efficiency programs and strategies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Metallurgy, Environmental Engineering)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in environmental sustainability or a related field
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Familiarity with ISO management systems and standard operating procedures
