SHOP SUPERVISOR

Description

Responsible for preparing and planning all projects to be distributed to the shop floor. Must efficiently manage the workload while keeping expected
delivery dates in mind. Oversee the workflow of all departments on the shopfloor.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Serve as the Tool Room coordinator to organize the workload of the shop floor.
2. Generate tooling routers in an ERP system.
3. Respond to tooling RFQ’s
4. Interface with JST locations to support the spare tooling program.
5. Administrative functions
6. Manage placement and monitoring of outside tooling purchases.
7. Coordinate and distribute all work directly or through direct reports.
8. Maintain strong relationships and communication with other department leaders and outside tooling vendors.
9. Participate in product and tool design reviews.
10. Complete performance reviews for all shifts directly or through direct reports and ensure compliance with company policy and quality standards.
11. Provide coaching, counselling, and feedback to team members and provide leadership and assist with troubleshooting.
12. Ensure timely completion of tooling to program schedules.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 10 years minimum tool room experience.
3. Technical school, CAD capability, and NC programming capability are a plus.
4. Ability to read product drawings and tool drawings.
5. Must have a proficient understanding of all Shop equipment and the capabilities of each specific machine.
6. Tool room or shop management/supervision experience.

Salary : $82,000 - $963,000
